I discovered this Dutch duo thanks to their remixes of Angolan music when I fell into Lusophone music as one would in quicksand. Then came the idea to have the album “Horizonte” de Bande Gamboa (an all-star group of musicians from Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde) be remixed, of course their name came up at the top of my list. They were the perfect liaison between keeping the authenticity of the record I had produced and its new futuristic rendering. Who else but them would have been able to meet that challenge and remix this track without adulterating its Bissau-Guinean essence?

Ce duo hollandais, je l’ai découvert via leurs remix de musique angolaise, quand j’ai glissé dans la musique lusophone comme dans des sables mouvants. Alors, quand est venue l’idée de faire remixer l’album Horizonte de Bande Gamboa (un all-stars de musiciens de Guinée-Bissau et du Cap Vert), leur nom s’est écrit de lui même en haut de liste. Ils étaient le trait d’union presque naturel entre l’authenticité de ce disque que j’avais produit et sa version plus futuriste que je voulais en donner. Qui d’autre qu’eux pouvait se réapproprier ce titre sans en dénaturer l’essence Bissau-Guinéenne ?
