This phenomenal intro, this call to the people that draws attention in order to formulate intentions, is the perfect way to summarize the essence of my sets. The spirit is also in its title, everybody is here to dance, nobody is here to cry. It’s such a dancing whirlwind, quite light despite all the instruments that coexist within it. The brass, the percussions and the keyboard, all come together in unison after which each of them goes back on its respective rhythmic or melodic path. In my view, this title is packed with what’s best in the cumbia genre. I want to thank my friend Pushin Wood for introducing me to it.

L’intro phénoménale, cet appel au peuple qui capte l’attention pour annoncer les intentions, résume toute l’essence de mes sets. L’esprit du titre aussi, tout le monde est là pour danser, personne pour pleurer. Ce tourbillon dansant, léger malgré tous les instruments qui cohabitent. Ces cuivres, ces percussions et ce clavier qui viennent ponctuer le temps à l’unisson avant que chacun ne reprenne sa route mélodique ou rythmique, pour moi, ce titre condense tout ce qu’il y a de meilleur dans la cumbia. Et je remercie mon ami Pushin Wood de me l’avoir fait découvrir.
