One day, I had the project to release a twelve-inch with different versions of Disk La Rayé, a furiously swinging classic from the West Indian music. I first tracked the original, a title by Jobby Valente on the album Flashback with the immense Jacob Desvarieux in charge of the guitar and the arrangements. On side A, everything was going well. On side B, things got complicated. I was confronted head-on by Mi Moin Mi Ou. Irresistible. I was glued to the record spinning. I fell in love with this title right away! It became a major and indispensable track in all my DJ sets! And what about that twelve-inch project? We’ll see later…

Un jour, j’ai eu pour projet de sortir un maxi avec différentes versions de Disk La Rayé, un classique de la musique Antillaise, dansant et furieux au possible. Prenant les choses dans l’ordre, j’ai donc traqué l’original, un titre de Jobby Valente sur l’album Flashback, avec l’immense Jacob Desvarieux à la guitare et aux arrangements. Face A, tout se passe bien. Face B, les choses se compliquent. Je prends Mi Moin Mi Ou de plein fouet. Irrésistible. Je reste aimanté sur le disque qui tourne. Je tombe amoureux du titre dans la minute ! Je lui déroule le tapis rouge vers mes dj sets! J’en fait un incontournable ! Et ce projet de maxi dans tout ça ? On verra plus tard...
