The guitar’s presence right from the start works as a rhythmic support to Makjoss who, in return, will hand over the reins to it for the last minutes of the track. A real act of loyalty from the one whose career started when he was seventeen and who took advantage of his service in the army to create the Orchestra of the Gabonese Armed Forces. Jean-Christian Mboumba Makaya aka Mackjoss is a real institution in Gabon. He will be given the nickname Baobab because of his powerful and deep establishment in the musical history of Gabon. Back to that track, I found it on a worthless record except for the music that’s engraved on it. Rarity doesn’t necessarily mean quality.

Présente dès les premières mesures, la guitare opère d’abord comme support rythmique au service de Makjoss qui, pour service rendu, lui laisse les rênes dans les dernières minutes. Un acte de loyauté par celui dont la carrière commença à dix-sept ans et qui profitera de son passage dans l’armée pour créer l’Orchestre des Forces Armées Gabonaises. Véritable institution dans son pays, Jean-Christian Mboumba Makaya aka Mackjoss héritera du surnom du Baobab en raison de son enracinement profond et puissant dans l’histoire musicale du Gabon. Pour en revenir au titre, je l’ai diggé sur un disque sans valeur autre que celle de la musique qui y est gravée. Rareté ne fait pas qualité.
