Afro-tropical productions often use a good old and quite exhausting rhythmic to kidnap dancers before letting them go all worn out. Here is a whole different approach. Although the bass drum is present at each measure, it’s hammering gently the groove and installing an hybrid trance, between tradition and modernity. You have all together percussions, hand clappings, digital additions and synth pads. Success! The spell is cast, glowing softly above the dancers before they can figure out that they’ve been under it for a while already!

Souvent les productions afro-tropicales utilisent une bonne grosse rythmique bien éreintante pour kidnapper les danseurs et les relâcher épuisés ensuite. Là, on est dans totalement autre chose. Même si elle est présente sur presque tous les temps, la grosse caisse martèle délicatement le groove et installe une transe hybride, entre tradition et modernité. On a à la fois des percussions, des claquements de mains, du digital et des nappes de synthés. Le charme opère en douceur et rayonne sur les danseurs qui s’aperçoivent bien trop tard qu’ils sont captifs depuis déjà un moment !
